August Stamp - Lizzie Kate

I know, I'm cutting it a bit fine,
but I've just managed to finish my monthly stamp!

So here we have the design
August Stamp from Lizzie Kate

Stitched on 28ct Britney white evenweave
2 over 2, using the recommended DMC threads

Finished off (ever so quickly) as an ornament

I've used the provided little buttons for the centre of the sunflowers,
gingham ribbon and green felt from my stash

Apologies for the little bit of fabric that are showing on the pictures,
I was trying to be quick and forgot to remove them...

I'll be back tomorrow with another post
(I know, 3 in 3 days! What's going on??)
about the Tutti Frutti Swap

Blue blue swimming! - Soda Stitch

The weather feels quite Autumn-like here in my little part of the world,
I thought this refreshing & colourful dip in the big blue sea
would be a nice touch to mark the end of the "British Summer"

The chart is called Blue blue swimming! and is from Soda Stitch
An Indonesian company full of adorable little designs

My model was stitched on 14 ct aida fabric, pewter colour,
using all 16 recommended DMC threads.

I have opted for a quick ornament finish
using polka fabric, fish shaped button, ribbon and wooden beads, all from my stash

Hope you like it!

Today the postman was once again my friend.
He kindly delivered a bubbly envelope all the way from the big US of A

It was my giveaway win from Rhona over at - Tangled Threads -

I won the lovely chart called
Eat, Sleep, Stitch from Cherry Wood Design Studios

To my great surprise I found a few little extras:
A thread cutter (how cool is that, I always wanted one!),
needles, ladybird buttons and a butterfly bookmark to make

Thank you so much Rhona, I will definitely put all these to good use

Until my next post,

Hello, I'm back!
Apologies for being quiet recently but my
sister and her family came to visit and she deserves my full attention.
I had to spoil her as I sadly don't see her often ☺
I have to put my hands up and admit I have been a little bit naughty!
A few weeks ago Sharon from Shebafudge very sweetly sent me a little surprise.
I have been looking for this mug since I saw it advertised in a cross stitch magazine.
Sadly I never managed to find one!!
Well Sharon thought of me!
I use it a lot now that summer seems to have departed!
Thank you Sharon, big hugs for you xx
The postman has been very kind too the past few days as I have received
a little RAK from Italy.
Elena from BusyHandsCraft... my craft blog is in the RAK blog I belong to
and randomly picked me to win this cute little chart!
It is Winter Fobs from Heart in Hand Needleart
And I can't wait to get started... eventually :D
There was a little pincushion handmade by Elena and some yummy teas too
Thank you sweetie, big hugs to you too xx
Will be back soon with a little finish.. or two!
Oooh, and we are approaching the 1st Sep, it will be time to show you about the
Tutti Frutti Swap that I have organised!!

Halloween Ornament Exchange

I have just joined the
Halloween Ornament Exchange
organised by Kim over at Wisdom with Needle and Thread

I couldn't resist the temptation.
Come and join the fun, you are all welcome!
Check out this POST for info & registration, you have until the 22nd Aug to make your mind up

Well I have been so sidetracked this week.
I was eager to start something new and was desperate for something... but what??
I really couldn't decide what to work on.
As a result, I have started several pieces and I'm still not sure with any of them..

Here are the culprits:

August Stamp - Lizzie Kate

Blue Blue Swimming Chart Booklet

Blue Blue Swimming! - Soda Stitch

Girl with a Kitten and a Cake Cross Stitch Kit

Girl with a kitten and a cake - Luca S

and now, have found my Halloween one too and will probably start it tomorrow
once I have purchased the few threads I haven't got...

What to do???
I think I'll carry on with the Soda Stitch one first, as it is the one I have worked on the most.

So sadly no finish to share this week but I have been stitching ☺

Happy Stitching!

Singing In The Rain - Madame Chantilly

Here is another finish I can share with you!!

Singing In The Rain
from Madame Chantilly

Stitched 2 over 2 on
pearl grey 28 ct Zweigart evenweave Brittney fabric,
using DMC threads as per the key

My model was finished as yet again a little cushion
using fabric & trim from my stash

Apologies for the poor picture,
but I took it when it was raining (how appropriate!!)

I love the design and really enjoyed working on this project.
However, I am so not happy with my finish! Not my best at all...

Now, time to make someone happy!!
How about giving the original chart away??

Please leave a comment stating you wish to take part in the giveaway
and be a follower (blue box on the right).

I will post worldwide.
If there are more than one person taking part, I will draw a name from the virtual hat
and announce the winner on Saturday 9th Aug

Good luck!!
